This is probably the ugliest tea cosy ever, but my tea kept getting cold. The yarn is hand dyed (with Adams food coloring), hand spun Targhee wool.

Look, you've got colorwork, a picot hem, and everything.
No, it's gorgeous. And nothing like a second or third cup of warm tea! I knit a cosy with my first handspun, and it's much more "only functional" than yours!
I don't think it's ugly; I think it's homey and darling.
